Beethoven

	Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Germany in 1770.  He played the piano and he was a composer.  A composer writes music. When he was about 20 he lived in Vienna.  Vienna is in Austria.  His music teacher in Vienna was called Haydn.
Beethoven had to stop playing the piano because he went deaf.  When he was 52 he was profoundly deaf but he still wrote music. He died in 1827.
