Darwin A bunsen burner and test tube
A stamp of Cook

Charles Darwin was born in 1809.  His father was a doctor.

He wanted to learn about animals and plants.  He lived on a ship for 5 years and went round the world.

Darwin believed that plants and animals were different a long time ago.  He wrote books about how animals and plants changed and developed.  He believed man developed from apes.
