Robert Scott was born in 1868.  He was British.

Scott wanted to go to the South Pole.  In 1901 he set off.  In 1904 he nearly got to the South Pole.

Scott and 4 friends tried again in 1910.  This time he was successful.  They arrived at the South Pole in January 1912.  They were not the first men to get to the South Pole because some Norwegian explorers had got there one month before.

Scott and his 4 friends died in 1519.  They were coming back from the South Pole.
