How many pupils at the school? Has the number of children changed?
1950s
onwards
We know there are
registers missing.
We could find out more from the
Admissions Log Books. We would have to look at each
name. This would be a long job...
Here are the numbers from the registers
we have.

The school moved and became Royal Cross Primary
School for Deaf Children. The new school also had a special
unit. The Language Development Unit is for hearing children
with speech and language disorders. This means up to 8 of
the children on the registers are hearing not deaf.
