Finding out about the world
A lot of the literature about helping children with multi-sensory impairments refers to using the hand over hand method to guide children's exploration.  More recent literature questions this as the primary approach.  Instead it suggests hand under hand methods encourage children to explore more actively and gives them an element of control as they can remove their hands.  Find out more...
