Four classes.  Four aims

Hindu people believe there are 4 classes of people.  They are called varnas.
  1. Priests
  2. Warriors
  3. Farmers or tradesmen
  4. Servants and workers

The bottom group have a hard life.  They hope they can live a good life.  Then they can be born into a better class in the next life (or incarnation).

Hindu people have 4 aims in life.
  • Live a good life.  Help other people.  Tell the truth.  Do your duty.  People in each class have different duties.
  • Be successful in the world.  Make money and have beautiful things.
  • Enjoy your life.
  • Leave the world and be with God.
