Lions

A lioness

Lions live in Africa.  Some lions live in India.  They live in grasslands, woodlands, deserts and near mountains.

Lions live in groups.  These are called a pride.  There can be 5 to 20 lions in a pride.

Lions eat meat.  They kill big and small animals.  They will eat zebras and even elephants! They like to look for food in groups.  They hunt early in the morning.

A baby lion is called a cub.  A lion will have 3 to 5 cubs.

Lions can live for 15 to 30 years.
