Oystercatcher

An Oystercatcher

This is an Oystercatcher.  It lives by the sea.  It will go inland to rivers or lakes to lay its eggs.

Oystercatchers live all over the world.  This includes Britain and America.

They eat oysters, mussels and limpets (shellfish).  It's long beak helps it catch and open the shellfish.
