Plover

A Crab Plover

This is a Crab Plover.  Plovers live by the sea.  They live in big groups.

They look for food in the sand or mud flats.  Sometimes they walk into the water.  They eat crabs and molluscs.  They break the shells with their beak.

Crab Plovers live in India, Arabia and Africa.

They make a nest in the sand.  They lay only one egg.
