Animal Groups

Print in portrait. Read the writing.  Each animal group is different.  Draw pictures to show the differences.

 

Mammals

 

Mammals: Mammals have fur or hair and a spine.  The babies are born alive.  The mother feeds the baby milk.

 

 

Birds: Birds have feathers and a beak.  They have two legs and two wings.  Some birds can fly.  Birds lay eggs.

 

Insects: Insects have six legs.  Their body has 3 parts.  Some insects have wings.  Insects lay eggs.

 

Amphibians: Amphibians live in water and on land.  They lay their eggs in water.

 

 

Reptiles: Reptiles live in water and on land.  They lay their eggs on land.  Reptiles have scales.

 

 

Fish: Fish live in water.  They have fins not legs.  They lay the eggs in water.  Their body is covered with scales.  They have gills to help them breathe in the water.
